The Design Process
We can redesign your entire garden or just part of it. We can work with existing features or plants that you want to retain, or start from a clean slate. Our goal is to provide a flexible approach to suit your lifestyle and budget. The follow stages are involved in the garden design process:
Initial Consultation
We meet with you for around an hour to establish exactly what your requirements are for your new garden. We then draw up a quote for the design work to be undertaken.
Garden Survey
On appointment, we return to carry out a survey of your garden. This gives us information on what the site is like now and what the growing conditions are, to enable us to proceed with designing your new garden.
Garden Layout Plan
The new design for your garden is produced as a scale plan drawing. This shows the new structural features and planting areas as well as any existing features to be retained. In many cases enough information is included here to enable your new garden to be built. However, if necessary we will include additional construction details and specifications. We will always present you with a concept plan before proceeding to the final drawing.
Planting Plan
This plan overlays the Garden Layout Plan and shows where each plant will be positioned in your new garden. We also supply a Plant Schedule listing all plants and when they flower.
Garden Construction Service
We can recommend skilled landscape contractors to build your garden. We can also organise quotes and oversee and monitor the construction work to make life easier for you.
Plant Supply & Planting Service
Once the garden is built we can organise the planting. We supply top quality plants at competitive prices and plant them in the right place and in the right conditions. We can help you with aftercare either by drawing up simple maintenance schedules or by making regular maintenance visits. We can also offer this service to our clients who have decided to simply commission a new planting scheme for their garden.
Garden Advice & Consultancy
If you are simply looking for guidance with your garden, whether it is design ideas, or planting advice for a difficult site, we are happy to proceed on that basis. |
